Great to know that you're still working on this project. I encourage you to continue with the quest to HardSPL this previously-unmoddable phone.
I'm a beginner as far as development is concerned, I'm working to improve the GPS library in Android on the Vogue over at XDA right now--but if I can be of any assistance in this project, please let me know.
