WCDMA iPhone....lol. WCDMA = UMTS a.k.a. GSM 3G. Yes, CDMA and WCDMA are the same carrier technology, the latter's "W" standing for "Wideband," using a wider channel. The only problem is that both use very different modulations as well as general protocol implementation.

Although you may have some luck getting one from South Korea or China, as both have cdma2000 networks.

As for the port to the iPhone OS, it's not ever going to happen unless you can steal the source from Apple. You'd have a better chance of porting it to a Nokia N900.

No amount of money past the amount of buying Apple will change that.
