LOL, no wonder you don't get my math- it appears you just plain don't get any math, lol.
I am going to put this in the simplest terms possible for you... the phone is not free on Sprint. Just like you have to pay for the phone on T-Mobile, you have to pay for it on Sprint too.
Look at the total here. Add up all 24 months of that Sprint contract, plus the cost of the phone. That is the total cost of the contract. Follow me? Now, divide that total cost of the contract by 24 (the number of months in the contract). That is the average monthly fee.
Do that for both T-Mobile and Sprint, and T-Mobile is cheaper. And that is without having to sign a contract on T-Mobile- so you can leave them whenever you want, and that is also without factoring in the nickel and dime fees Sprint hits you with (which increased this month).
