The no push internet should have freed up some RAM. Although I made the changes manually, the cab should have done the same thing.
You can probably lose the ResProxy hack. If you look at the registry value it changes, you'll find that it has automatically been reset to its default value. Since you don't need it, it can't hurt to uninstall it in case it contributed to your problem.
