well its not that people want a free upgrade but they do want a phone that works out of the box and does simple things like connect to the internet and have a functioning keyboard. I pay for the tep on all of my lines and only this phone has given me hell.. so when they hand me a defective referb from the repair center of course I am going to have them order another. So if sprint had some kind of quality controll on the referbs then I wouldnt go through 15-20 phones in a short period of time. I dont break them on purpose I simply try to send my wife a text and guess what no dice on the last dozen units they have handed me, I dont even leave the store before they order me a new one. Verizon probaly actually has some kind of quality control on their units cause they actually care about customer retention and their reputation. If you notice all the people having the tons of phones in a short time they are sprint customers for the most part.
