Damn ... I was hoping this would fix mine

I just got a Verizon XV7600 today and have been trying to get it to detect the radio. I have never seen it detected.

The phone came with a ROM version that displayed a Cricket Wireless logo on bootup, so I figured if I went back to the verizon software it would fix it, but so far it hasn't. I've tried a few different ROMs (2 from UTStarCom as well as an unofficial version that had WM6). No luck with any.

I just found this post with the 13 steps and the mtty utility and figured it would work. I ran through it twice trying both the releases I had from UTStarCom (APA_Verizon_31430_314208_14300_WWE_Ship_2.exe and APA_VZW_20720_206_11000_WWE_Ship.exe). Still it doesn't detect the radio.

I'm new to this phone and its design, but I have done some embedded firmware work in the past. Could there be some flash / nvram settings that are causing problems? Or if it is a hardware problem, could it be something simple that I could fix?

Also I saw UnityPunks response saying
" then i flashed the radio_.nbf file alone with the stock updater, after trying everything else here..."

How do you manually flash a single file? I'll look around, but so far haven't seen any info on this.

I hope somebody can help me. I was stoked on getting a new phone that didn't suck

Thanks,

Tom
