Whetzel - I wish someone would try your solution. I wonder if it keeps phone/SPL data that otherwise gets lost with a hard reset (after flash)?
One thing that would be interesting is - if you do reset after flash (you say you then get the error). But then.... I wonder if a *228 -> 1 would then refix back to good again?
Just hypothesizing what actually changes when you hard reset a phone... especially on the radio/network front.
