Also try the attached below. Using UI Tweaker it will change your entire system to a black background with grey text. There are two screen shots in the zip folder along with a .sys file.

Download the zip file and copy the .sys to your ppc.
Open UI Tweaker and select SysColor Changer.
Select Tools and select Import.
Navigate to the .sys file and select it.
Follow the directions for restarting, etc.

That's it. Enjoy.
