I noticed my BBM / Status update problem is more related to the phone.
Because on my Curve 8330 with 4.5 , my bbm status are fine.

I reloaded 4.7.1 on my Tour 9630, and bbm status still are having problem. I installed Juicy R2 as well. I now installed 5.0.0.419 and still same issue. I called Sprint and told them my trackball having problem so they can replace the phone.
