sense 2.5 weather question

this is not a problem, just something I'm curious about.

I was running Juicy's ROM, but gave up on it recently when even after 4 consecutive updates I still could not get my incoming calls to ring consistently (phone would vibrate, but never ring)

I decided to try the NRG Dusk ROM & I love it, all the bugs that I had with Juicy are gone.

My question is this: running Juicy, when it was snowing here (which has been doing a LOT lately) the animated weather on the home screen would build up in the corners of the screen & stay there.

Now, running NRG the snow builds up but then it quickly disappears.

Is this just two different sense versions way of doing things??

I don't really care which way it works, I'm just curious why they are different.
