TCPMP plays AC3 files, but requires an additional plugin (http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/a...in.0.72RC1.zip). Since CorePlayer is built from TCPMP, you could try just downloading and installing the plugin, but I have no idea if it would work.
The plugin didn't work w/ Coreplayer, but TCPMP is playing the files fine... Video quality is no where near as good as that of Coreplayer's, but at least I have sound!
