Yes, like the previous poster said it may be as simple as a bad battery.
Take the battery out and put it in a ziplock bag and put it in the freezer for about 30min. Then take it out and let it warm up to room temp. Then put it back in your phone and connect the charger/ac adapter and let it charge fully. Then see if you can boot. Hope you get it working!
