I am pretty certain there is no way to do (locking/unlocking your phone) that through the SD card, but I am still trying to figure this all out. However, I had a problem with active sync not picking up my phone (TP2). I corrected the problem by resetting my COMPUTER. I originally thought the problem was with my phone and I did a hard reset of my phone WITHOUT backing up my files
. If that doesn't work, try using another USB cable.
