Ive never flashed back to stock because ive never had the random hard reset issue happen to me. so id be in the same boat as mswlogo. although ignorance is also bliss not to believe in the method.

when the day comes that this issue does happen for users who dont follow this tip, dont take the advice and deal with a patchy phone.

I know it works because ive had it happen with me on the diamond, so there is some truth to it.

also ask the users who have had this issue and have followed the steps and are now enjoying their devices.

am i always right? rarely, but i dont give intructions with no background knowledge in the matter.

not all users have to do this, but dont come crying in my thread or other chefs threads when ur phone suddenly reflashes itself for no reason.

and no, its not the rom, every custom rom has this issue. its reported all over here many times

I would just say if you have a problem try it. People take it too literally.

And as far as the Hard Reset issue, my understanding is it was the early unlocker had an issue and just flashing back to stock before flashing a custom ROM or clear storage after flashing a custom ROM would not have solved it.

You have to relock and reunlock with new unlocker to solve it.
