After installing...
Start Menu > Settings > System Tab > Keyboard Config
Menu softkey (bottom right) > Add key
Then pick the key you want to map to the TAB function. I chose the message key. The drop-down menu on the pop-up window is just in case you wanted to hit the Function key (Alt key) AND another button or the Caps/Shift key AND another button. If you chose to do that, select the option from the drop-down menu, then click the button you would also hit.
Pop-up goes away
Go down to the bottom and hit the + button. From the drop-down menu, select Default key action (all the way at the bottom). Hit OK
Then at the EVENT drop-down menu, click on if you want to map the TAB function to that key by pressing it twice, 3 times, or by holding it down for 300ms (that's what I did with the message key).
Once you've picked that selection, hit the + button again. Select Emulate Key Press from the drop-down, then from the KEY drop-down menu, select 9 Tab. Click OK twice, then Update Config softkey (bottom left), hit OK on the pop-up. Then X out. Give it a test run. Use it in Word or IE or whatever you needed it for.
