2.5 is still buggy as all heck, imo, and I don't really recommend it personally.
MalROM 1.5 and 6.5.3 will be good but won't be
radically different from what you're using now--mostly software updates, a few graphic changes, some themes, a couple of little fixes, multiple carrier support, etc.
