I'll give it a run.
I've used your ROM for almost a month or more Mr. O and I've never had the Start Menu streak problem. The way I setup SPB and the way it works, using the start menu isn't as effecient, so it's something I would rarely use anyway. So it could be lack of use that I haven't run across the bug.
