But today I tried to clear them all again, letting it go for a while before restarting the phone. Now the phone is pretty much useless, I cannot access messages at all, do not receive messages, phone calls come in but if I try to answer the phone freezes. Even the power button barely works (turning the screen on and off).

Anyone have any ideas with what I can do about this? I am going to Verizon tomorrow, but was wondering if this site could offer some help before I go.

Thanks,

I say try to soft reset first.(push stylus in the reset hole) Then use file explorer to find and clear texts and stuff.
Although, I really think you should do a hard reset.(hold the talk and end buttons down and insert the stylus into the reset hole and follow instructions) This will totally reset everything though and clear all data.
