CDMA IS the radio. That IS what makes the network. WiMax is something different entirely. It has absolutely nothing to do with CDMA.

Again, Verizon is going with LTE. AT&T is also going woth LTE. LTE is the alternative to WiMax. And WiMax is the same thing as all of them, since either of them could have went with WiMax instead (as Sprint did)?

What he's saying is that all the phones (Sprint and Verizon) will still have CDMA radios in addition to the data radio (LTE or Wimax). For this reason, device manufacturing won't really change. Why must you continue to twist things?
