Before doing a hard reset on your phone, did you make sure your system and ringer volume was up and not almost muted? Also make sure you don't have your phone on silent in the Setting Tab. May I ask what carrier your on? Hard Reset is only if something is really messed up...this could be a simple fix...and it may not...another thing to try....call tech support and see if they can't help you.
