Nothing more than a rumor that will never happen. Ask Sprint how purchasing a different network type other than yours works out when they purchased IDEN. If T-mobile made that move after seeing how much of a fail that was then they are idiots. Maintaining a GSM and CDMA on the same network... not smart. If you notice with other mergers (AT&T/Cingular, Verizon/Alltel) they were both running the same type network.
