My wife had T-Mo for many years until she switched over to Sprint to get the Tour. She never had voice or customer service issues. In south Florida, T-Mo's 3G footprint seems pretty solid.
Plus, T-Mo seems to be getting the two hottest phones of the moment, the HD2 and the Nexus One, so switching to T-Mo doesn't seem all that bad of an idea.
