I fixed your quote.
I have no problems with a debate, it just seemed to be getting more about the network than the actual topic of the thread (the HD2).
My biggest problems with GSM are that the voice quality is poor and it's coverage is down right apauling when it comes to data. I live just outside Charlotte and there is no 3G coverage here. In the city, sure. But travel to any of the suburbs and you are SOL. Meanwhile, I rarely come across a place without EVDO coverage even when I go way up in the boonies. While I would like Voice/Data, I find that I'm more likely to be in a place with Wi-Fi (in which case I can do voice/data simultaneously with CDMA device) than a place with 3G (GSM) coverage when I need it.
So yes GSM certainly has benefits, but I think they are either unnecessary or too hard to come by to make the switch worthwhile.
