Just a thought, turn down the Backlight? or maybe it is the mist/transparancy layer over the picture... I remember reading here how to remove that... I will dig, but I hope you do as well!

Otherwise you will have to edit it with a program and reduce the overall brightness or contrast (something) of the photo. I don't know much more, I am sure someone else will have a better answer!
