Thanks for this fantastic, sleek, stable ROM; I have made a donation. This was the first time I took the plunge to Flash a ROM, and the process went seamlessly on my Sprint CDMA Touch Pro 2. If you are looking for a trustworthy ROM, and you are a first timer, I highly recommend deck’s.
Deck: if there is any way to include the traditional Stylus SIP Keyboard, I would be eternally grateful. That is the only thing holding me back from a long term commitment to WinMo6.5/Manila2.5.
By the way Deck, what does SsS stand for? Looking forward to the new ROM!
INSTALLING A ROM
Please forgive me for any redundancy (this information is a collection from other places on the web), but I wanted to post a simple step-by-step for those doing a ROM Flash for the first time:
1) PDA - Run Sashimi to backup everything (this step is optional)
- Sashimi Handy Instructions: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=75214
- Download (cf. bottom of page): http://www.winmo-experts.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4
- Sashimi Home: http://www.winmo-experts.com/viewforum.php?f=7
2) PC - Run “Hard SPL RhodiumW-HardSPL_V1_10R3.exe” to unlock ROM
- Instructions: http://rhodiumw.htc-unlocks.com/hard-spl.php
- Download: http://hpcmonex.net/htc/rhodw/Rhodiu...R3_100HSPL.zip
3) PDA - Test by doing a Hard-Reset (Power+VolDown+Reset) until 4 colors on screen (should read 1.00.0iNex). Leave back cover off
4) PC - Rename the ROM (e.g. "ROM - Deck SsS-ROM_r1.nbh") to "RHODIMG.nbh"
- Download deck’s ROM: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=102660
5) PDA - Copy "RHODIMG.nbh" to your Storage Card Root
- Disconnect PDA from PC & turn PDA Off.
- Hard-Reset
- Press Power Button to start ROM Image Update. Status bar should get to 100% in a few minutes.
- After the Update is complete, Soft-Reset
- Always Hard-Reset after flashing a ROM after full initial boot. If it hangs, do another Soft-Reset.
That’s it – enjoy!
