I picked up my fiance's to try and help ya.....I don't see a back light setting for the keyboard.....however you may know where the back light settings for the phone are:
start>settings>all settings>system tab>power>backlight tab

There may be a .cab file for turning on the light when you want to.....take shaggylives advice
