I am running standard SKIROM with max manila 2.7 and it is working just fine as for VGA. Now I do have th problem texting and icons are in the way of the text box in landscape mode. Other than that I am ok with that. I am waiting on the fix from someone.
Sorry Winmoonebie if I am wrong on this, but that is how I was reading it.

It COULD still be resolution related as this is the first WVGA/VGA combo release. All others in the past were one or the other.
ahuskins clued me in that it will not work if we are runnig full screen which I'm 99% sure I was. Going to reinstall and check it again. |
OK, I got it working. This is off of a fresh flash but hopefully you wont need to do that.
I turned off Sense, installed 2.7, turned on Sense, selected V with resolution option.. Landscape messaging works, no problem, no alignment issues.
To test further I went into full screen and it didnt work, at all. Messages wouldnt open from Sense. ahuskins tells me once you go to full screen it uses diffent manila files vs the messaging mod. Problem for me was that messages still wouldnt open even with full screen disabled. Had to turn Sense off/on again. So give it a shot, you may not have the same issues as I did.

Weirdness...did you try the other steps like clearing out cache, etc?
