My understanding is that there is no legal way to have TomTom 7 on a US device. They don't sell it that way. It is available in Europe, and is also embedded in the ROMs of some devices sold overseas. My understanding is that it's not included on any US carrier's ROMs.

The irony? I read an article quoting someone saying they weren't going to sell it here because piracy is so high. Now that they've stopped selling it, more people are probably now looking into piracy that might have otherwise bought it.

Note that I'm not advocating this at all. I'm not using TomTom anymore, since they've clearly abandoned the US market. There are other solutions out there, like Garmin, but I did enjoy TomTom back in the day.
