Thank you for your help. now that you say it is the keyboard slide, I realize that my screen is sideways, it all makes sense now! I'm not 100% sure how to modify a registry. but I'm not afraid to learn. I have PHM RegEdit, I've found the HKLM\Hardware\DeviceMap\Keybd. but slidewakeup is not there, do I have to add it in, how? thanks.
