Re: How to configure your GPS for No Lag !!

Yeah, I guess the biggest deal here is what people accept as OK. From the TP to the TP2, GPS has sucked on both. If you have ever used a Garmin or in car nav system, you will see what most are saying here. I can't argue how fast the GPS sats update or pole, or how the stand alone systems make it with no lag. I also understand I own a phone, and not a handheld GPS. So I'm not bashing HTC or the service. But, still I don't understand why from the factory that the lag can't be delt with and fixed so to be usable.

Going down the road at 60mph, 200ft is NOT acceptable. 200ft is is 2/3rds of a freakin football field. Again, this is not a deal breaker, but is aggrevating. Using our in car system, it is dead on, to a T. So I know its possible. Im gonna try Kanes suggestins above and see how that goes.

And sorry OP, I got a chuckle from the first post. Title of thread "How to configure GPS for no Lag". Step 1: Google Maps: DO NOTHING!!! Thought it was kinda funny. Thanks for the tips though.
