Regarding battery life, I can recommend:
1) reset your charging circuit by running battery down to below 20%, turn off phone, plug in for recharge. Turn phone on only after charge is complete. This will not alter battery life, but it will calibrate the circuit that monitors charge levels. TPs ship from HTC with 50% charge, reportedly this can cause the circuit to only allow partial charges & drains giving the efect of short battery life.
2) try a different radio. You do not need to use a verizon radio to be on the network. I'm on Verizon with a Sprint TP & Sprint radio. Different radios will give different results depending on location, best to experiment over the course of a month to see which has best performance for your needs.

Thanks, the battery technique seems to work so far but activesync is still starting up on its own even after changing the scheduling and installing elias Activesync Killer and NueDynamic Clock. I still can't get my current weather to show on the today screen. As far as the radio is concerned, I'm on alltel originally so I going to change to the verizon radio due to the merger and see if that doesn't help.
