It's kind of annoying. Not sure what changed...but this behavior of the "7" happens on other ROMs. Where does it get your town name? I assume it finds me in a spot it doesn't know and puts a 7. It used to just put my state name instead.
Did you do a PRL update recently? From what I've learned about this feature and how it works, it's pulling information from cell towers to determine your location through triangulation. So...the name you see for your location may vary based on where you are and what towers you're polling.

At my house, MyLocation will show as one of the following: Green Acres [I think a small community not far from me], Fairfax [the city I live in], or sometimes just "virginia". Same thing at work...it finds me in Rosslyn, VA or Washington DC [Im right on the border].

When travelling through PA, I got wild results...and sometimes the feature just never worked.

So...the "7", I would guess is coming from whatever cell tower you're polling to determine your location. Does it change when you go somewhere else, like to a city? It's also possible the "7" is some internal conflict when, like you said, MyLocation doesn't know where you are or maybe some corruption in teh cell tower data it receives for your location.

...just some thoughts. The feature works great for some, and not so much for others.

EDIT: the PRL update thing was more for curiosity - I did wonder if that would have an impact on MyLocation since it's using tower info, so I figured I'd ask.
