I had this happened to me, I had the phone walking in from my car and it was raining( not a hard rain but rain) anyways one little drop got in the headphone jack. I fixed it by taking a can of compressed air and blowing into that hole. I would try that and see if that works, let us know as it might not be water but something might have gotten down in the jack and caused this to short like that.
