Re: hard spl unlock not working on my replaced phone...

you absolutely ARE discounting the work they did to make the hardspl.

the point is that they put the work into modifying the software to make the unlocker. Those that shouldn't make a profit are companies or people that charge to unlock devices for people... if they want to do it then they should make their own unlocker. Otherwise they should pay at least some of what they make to those that did do the work.

As for 'warez'... technically what they did is probably warez too... if someone else makes an unlocker that doesn't have a verification then I don't see a problem with that. The only way it should be taken down is if someone just took their code and removed the verification portion. If someone modifies the HTC code and makes a new unlocker then there isn't any problem here...

I'm sure they don't want someone to do that, but I don't see any way they could really prevent it if the other party isn't using their code.

again I think the point here is that if you're using it for your personal devices you have nothing to worry about... if it stops you in verification they make it so it will work with minimal effort required on your part.

If someone has such a problem with the verification then make your own hardspl, start a thread and put it up. If it gets removed then you need to make your argument with the mods, not these guys.
