Because of the lack of hype, WM devices fly under the radar which is fine by me. Wanna use Skype on Android? Fine, it makes it call you and use your carrier's plan minutes. Wanna use Skype on WM? no problem, it uses data only and you truly do get around using your minutes.

Not to mention that you can travel internationally and have the above two features work seamlessly with the TP2. Android, not an option... Iphone? nope.

Being able to fire up Skype wherever I am in the world, and call back home with unlimited minutes is worth more than ANY app store. If WM mobiles were marketed as suggested, we would not be under the radar and everything would be locked. (And I know you can jailbreak etc, but with WM its not necessary at all)
jailbreaking and enabling tethering(especially with blackra1n) is pretty much the same as HSPL unlocking for custom roms, and I know youve done that...

And you still have to hack the registry to do it in WM

edit: not an apple fanboy at all, i would never get an iphone or use att for any reason whatsoever, just pointing out facts
Im still using the stock Verizon ROM. My point was only that it requires far less work to enable these features on WM because of how open it is.

No need to install the HSPL for either tethering or using data to make calls.

If a new WM device is released tomorrow, its likely that youll be able to install tethering cabs and Skype. The Iphone on the other hand has to be jailbroken and the Android devices rooted to get them to do anything outside of what providers what you to do..

Not a WM fanboy at all.. I actually got my girl the Droid for christmas because its just easier to figure out for non tech savy people..
