Klurf we both agree there is no point.
To the OP there are reasons why a touch cannot replace an ipod or any other video mp3 device given a utility or the need for an extra device at a given time. The above I listed are just 2 examples. If you think you may find more. I think the traditional ipod as well as all pure mp3 video devices will become more and more out dated and un needed. However there are still some situations where they can serve a great purpose. I actually bought a nano just for the run tracker aspect.
