I know there have been other threads on this, but after reading them all I was still set on purchasing the Touch Pro 2. That is until this past weekend when half of my family was trying to talk me into the Droid. Their arguments were convincing and now I just don't know what to do anymore. Plus there are other threads on PPCG from Droid users bashing the TP2 and saying how superior the Droid is to it.

Here's my situation: I currently have an Omnia and would consider myself a "power-user". I flash to custom ROMs all the time. I make over 60 registry changes with each flash as I like to customize my phone to fit my exact tastes. I like using GPS navigation with iGO8 and I absolutely MUST HAVE WMWifiRouter or equivalent.

So here's the question: Can the Droid meet all of these needs? If so, can they do them better than the TP2? Is the droid faster or slower? How does RAM and processor speed differ between the two phones? Does the Droid have better battery life? Is Android more customizable than WM 6.5 with a registry editor?

I really need a pep-talk, guys. I've been a WinMo user for life and am now doubting my religion Any input is appreciated because I just don't know what to do anymore
My cousin got a droid, I got to play with it for a few hours and I was just not really that impressed. maybe it’s because I have been using WM for like 9 years but it just did not have that feel of sophistication that WM does. It seemed very disorganized and no real direction, things were scattered and no structure to it. The only thing I found interesting on it is how fast the GPS was and had a nicer camera, and we are not getting phones for camera’s. just my 2 cent’s though.
