That's probably because you are using Google Maps 3.3.1 or 3.3.2 (it has inaccuracy problems). Install 3.2.1 and I bet it will work now.

I'm not sure now if I tested Google Maps 3.2.1 cooked in, I think is the problem which does that registry edit I think.
