You haven't tried Swype?? Give it a shot. It's a keyboard that I believe was designed for the Omnia 2, but it works great on my Touch Pro 2! You can type your words, or Swype your words. Really makes for a pleasant onscreen typing experience. And not to mention, it's black and pretty looking.
When you install it, Swype automatically is placed in your list of keyboards when you open up the keyboard selector while typing a message, email, or surfing the web. Just select Swype and you'll have a nice black keyboard and a much easier typing method.
