I volunteer to be the guinea-pig for the soldering. I used to work for Hitachi soldering smaller stuff than this so it'd be a breeze. As soon as someone figures out which chip is actually the radio module & once I get the right equipment, I'll do it.

One way to find out for sure if the chip is there & where it needs to be soldered to is to get a GSM TP2, open it up, and compare it's innards to a CDMA model. If we see a soldered chip in the GSM model that isnt soldered in ours, that'll probably be the FM chip.
