Graphics artists are emulating clocks that never physically existed

Look at some these flip clocks.

In particular this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=555535

They are drawing 7 Segment LEDs with segments lit (in WHITE) and not lit (in grey) on an old style "Flip Clock" that has no LEDs.

Here is what a "Flip Clock" should look like

http://www.amazon.com/Timex-1004T-Re.../dp/B0009IIBKE

No LED segments, no unlit LED segments. Just plain old white ink on a black ground.

Sorry it just gets under my skin. Probably most of these graphic artists have never even seen the old style flip clocks.

If you wanted an "LED" clock it should not "Flip".
