Here`s my two cents. A lot of the techies at most (if not all) the providers out there have a limited knowledge of what they do, because 90% of the time the techies are just promoted CS agents and don`t know much because they want to conform to the company standards. Then there are the FEW that want to make thier clients more at ease with with a FULL Tech support experience and go into futher reseach about thier products. I have called my tech support on several occasions and have taught them a few things about thier phones. So, in defence of Yay4Juggs, a lot of techs don`t their a$$ from thier elbow, but in defence of c0011j, the generalization of the comment was intruding! But, in the end, you are both right! IMO
Not all techs are stupid and some of them are!
As for the OP`s question. Yes, if the store has the means to do it, they can and will reflash the stock ROM to your device. But, they will more than likely send for a swap or tell you to order a swap to save them the hassle!
