Update, still no joy:

I used the original Outlook 2007 CD to do a "repair" to my installation.
I uninstalled WMDC, rebooted, reinstalled.

Reconnected the TP2, drivers were successfully loaded, WMDC fired up, connected with the device, but when trying to sync, it failed with the same error message.

When I check within WMDC, I find these error messages:

Sync Error Notes: attention required
Sync Failed Sync failed

One said "Active Sync Encountered a Problem on the Desktop"

Windows Explorer shows both the device and storage card, and I can read/write from them, so Windows is seeing the device just fine. It seems that WMDC is having the problem.

Could it be my TP2? Something funky in the Hardset/Restore using SPB Backup?

This is a major problem, and I hope somebody here can provide some insight or suggestions.
