Is there a different program that can be used that is "safer" then the QPST to flash to cricket? or basicly change the prl?

Also what is the difference in a "HARD reset and a SOFT" reset?

Thanks again for all the help.

P.S.: I get great deals on phones from where i work " cant tell you where i work " but i can pass off the savings to you PPCGeek members. I can get mostly any NEW phone. I like the Touch pro 1 look better that's why i have it but i can get the TP2 for Dirt Cheap.
QPST is used to program the phone. If you have no experience using it you should avoid it or follow instructions on how to use it VERY carefully as this can actually damage your phone.

I think I already replied to you regarding the PRL which is used only while roaming. You get it from your carrier by calling customer service and telling them that you have a hard time getting a good signal while roaming, they will flag the account for the PRL update and it will be pushed to your phone on its own.

Soft reset is just restarting (powercycle) the phone nothing gets lost unless unsaved, hard reset is erasing everything on the phone memory (device wipe)
