not really a answer to the question but yes it was brought up bout coreplayer but then i posted, i have core player and AM NOT having this issue, version 1.3.6 i have, so i doubt thats the problem but could be wrong. well i have a thought, check you file associations in core, i only checked anything video but not any thing pictures. see if that may be it otherwise i dont see why it woild be core causing the problem
