I have found this to be useful as a soft reset tool. I have mapped my screen on/off button as a soft reset when i press it three times in row. its been quite handy & I don't have to open any programs or depend on the screen. it even works when the phone is running slow. I would say whether or not it works when my phone is frozen but its never happened
!!! I also use it to change the mapping on other keys as well. it a pretty great tool.
