I had the same problem when I got my Titan, except with a red tint instead of a yellow one. It would alternate randomly from stylus taps and some hardware buttons (mostly the jog wheel).
It was running the stock TNZ WM5 ROM, and the problem completely disappeared when I flashed the Alltel WM6 ROM. I haven't seen it several ROMs later. There seem to be quite mixed reports on the problem - it appears my mileage isn't typical though.
For me it was definitely a software issue but some people seem to report faulty hardware.
