I find the GPS multiplexer (or whatever you call that thing in WM) to only cause instability and all other kinds of trouble, from the GPS being unrecognized, to the whole phone locking up. I have several bluetooth GPS units, and all of them work fine when I disable the GPS sharing functionality -- that is, use the hardware COM port directly.
