Hopefully, those squares are only visible as you use HTC Album. They are Japanese characters not recognized by our PPC6700 (don't forget the video on the link belongs to katsuo2100).
Here are some screenshots to confirm that we are talking about the same thing:
- Find your HTC Album in your programs,
- Here we see those square characters. If you feel like playing w/ them, you'll discover that they are selections to connect to different paths and/or networks (nothing to be concerned about). Proceed to select the specific folder w/ pictures. It will not look for pictures in sub-folders,
- And Voila! HTC Album with all the functions (in English). I hope this was helpful.
