Anyone have trouble getting nueKBLight to work with the newer roms?

I use it to keep the keyboard backlight turned on for the physical keyboard but it doesn't seem to work anymore. It installs and I can set the settings, but the keyboard backlight still goes out after around 4-5 seconds.

Is there anything else people using to keep the keyboard backlight turned on?
